They also had an almost satiny feel to them-compared to Parachute's almost-garment-washed-but-not texture-which I didn't like as much, but others might prefer them. Don't get me wrong, these sheets were still much softer (and more breathable) and more luxe than the cheaper sheets I've used in the past, but compared to the Parachute sheets, I did notice that they were slightly less soft. In comparison to those, these sheets were way more breathable-the Parachute sheets just took it a step further. Prior to this experiment, I was using sheets from Target that were cute but not that perfect mix of cozy-but-light that I always hope for. They still passed my sweat test, but I didn't feel as cool and comfortable. Feeling both of these sheets at the same time, you can tell that the Brooklinen sheets are a touch thicker, which also made them feel less lightweight and breathable to me. Less breathable and not as lightweight. If you prefer patterned sheets, this is definitely a major perk. Parachute's percale sheet set has seven different solid colors to choose from at the moment, while Brooklinen currently has 10 available for this particular sheet set, including a few basic patterns. The pillowcases, fitted sheet, and top sheet were all wrapped up in one plastic wrapper, making the whole set less of an effort to open and leaving less packaging for the trash, which did make me feel better, personally. And again, if you don't use top sheets, you're paying the same price but for one less piece.

If you're pro top sheet, Brooklinen's sheet set adds up to an $80 savings, comparatively. More affordable (with the top sheet included). But separate packaging means your new bedding is slightly more annoying to open, and it feels a bit wasteful, too.īUY NOW Classic Core Sheet Set (Queen), $129, Pros My parachute sheets were all packaged separately (pillowcases in one, fitted sheet in another, and top sheet in another), which makes sense, since you can buy them all separately and a top sheet isn't automatically included. Add the top sheet, and your total comes out to $209-making this the pricier option. Without a top sheet, the queen-size sheet set is $129, the same price as Brooklinen's percale sheet set (which includes a top sheet). Less affordable if you want a top sheet. If you do, you'll have to spend a little more. If you don't use top sheets, not being stuck with one by default is a perk. Personally, I'm very pro top sheets, but I know that this is a divided issue, and for that reason I'm making this a pro. You can choose if you want a top sheet.I didn't feel any hotter sleeping under this top sheet than I would have without it, and I didn't feel extra sweaty, either.

I tend to overheat in my sleep, but I tested these out during peak August humidity (again, with the air conditioner on, but it was still warmer than I prefer) and these passed my sweat test.

  • Lightweight and breathable, even for a hot sleeper like me.

They're like a thinner, crisper version of your favorite t-shirt, and they feel luxe to lounge in without being too warm. These sheets aren't garment-washed (unlike the brand's new brushed cotton sheets), but they almost feel like they are. BUY NOW Percale Sheet Set With Top Sheet (Queen), $209, Pros
